Data Deletion

How to permanently delete your Nura account and all associated data.

Your data belongs to you. You can delete everything — instantly, from inside the app — or by submitting a request to us. All data is erased within 30 days.

Option 1 — Delete from the app (instant)

This is the fastest way to delete your account and all data:

  1. Open Nura and sign in to your account.
  2. Tap Profile (bottom-right on mobile, sidebar on desktop).
  3. Scroll to the bottom of the Profile page to the red-outlined Danger Zone section.
  4. Tap Delete Account.
  5. In the confirmation dialog, type DELETE and press Delete My Account.

This immediately and permanently deletes:

  • Your user account and login credentials
  • All transactions (including those from forwarded emails and PDF uploads)
  • All budgets and goals
  • All AI-generated daily, weekly, and monthly insights
  • Any uploaded bank statement data

Option 2 — Submit a deletion request

If you cannot access your account (e.g. lost password), send a deletion request to:

privacy@getnura.app

Include the email address associated with your Nura account. We will verify your identity and process the deletion within 30 days.

What we retain after deletion

After your account is deleted, we may retain:

  • Anonymised, aggregated statistics that cannot identify you (e.g. "X transactions processed this month"). These do not contain any personal data.
  • Backup copies may persist for up to 30 days in encrypted form before being overwritten as part of our standard backup rotation policy.

We do not retain your email address, name, transactions, or any identifiable data after the 30-day erasure window.

Stopping email forwarding without deleting your account

If you only want to stop forwarding bank notification emails to Nura (without deleting your account), simply remove or disable the forwarding filter in your own Gmail or Outlook settings. Nura has no access to your inbox and requires no action on our end — once you remove the filter, no further emails will be sent to Nura's ingestion address.

Previously processed transactions will remain in your Nura account until you delete your account.
