1. Acceptance of terms
By creating an account or using the Nura application or website (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Description of the Service
Nura is a personal finance tracking application that:
- Processes bank notification emails that you forward to Nura's ingestion address via a filter you set up in your own email provider;
- Parses PDF bank statements you choose to upload (for historical transactions);
- Uses AI to categorise transactions and generate spending insights;
- Allows you to set budgets and savings goals.
Nura is a personal financial management tool, not a regulated financial service, bank, or investment adviser. Nothing in the Service constitutes financial, investment, legal, or tax advice.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to use Nura. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement.
4. Your account
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password.
- You must notify us immediately at hello@getnura.app if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
- You may not share your account with others.
- You may not create accounts using automated means or under false identities.
5. Email forwarding and data
Nura does not connect to your email account and does not request OAuth access. To capture future transactions, you set up a filter in your own Gmail or Outlook account to forward bank notification emails to Nura's ingestion address. By doing so:
- You remain in full control of which emails are forwarded — only emails matching your filter are sent to Nura;
- Nura will never access your inbox, send emails on your behalf, or delete or modify any emails;
- Nura stores only extracted transaction fields (amount, date, merchant), not full email bodies.
To stop forwarding emails to Nura, simply remove the filter in your email provider's settings. Previously extracted transaction data will remain in your account unless you delete your account.
For historical transactions, you may upload a PDF bank statement. Nura will parse and import those transactions automatically.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose;
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service or its infrastructure;
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service;
- Upload malicious files or attempt to interfere with the Service's operation;
- Use the Service to process data belonging to others without their consent.
7. Intellectual property
All software, design, trademarks, and content comprising Nura are owned by or licensed to us. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service for your personal, non-commercial finance tracking.
You retain ownership of all data you submit to Nura (your transactions, documents, etc.).
8. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that:
- Transaction extraction or categorisation will be error-free;
- AI-generated insights are accurate or suitable for financial decisions;
- The Service will be available without interruption.
Always verify important financial information against your official bank statements.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Nura and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
10. Termination
You may terminate your account at any time by using the "Delete Account" feature in the Profile page or by emailing hello@getnura.app. Upon termination, your data will be erased within 30 days as described in our Privacy Policy.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
11. Changes to the Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email or in-app notice at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use of the Service after that date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Hong Kong SAR. Disputes shall be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Hong Kong SAR, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you may have under the law of your country of residence.
